We are committed to the church because Jesus is.

By joining our church as a member, you make your commitment to Jesus and his people visible. Regular attenders at Normandale are welcome to worship, attend a Life Group, share in certain ministry opportunities, give financially, and invite others to worship with them. However, with membership there is an expectation of commitment to these disciplines. This commitment is one of the main differences between “attenders” and “members”—this is my church, and I am committed and integral to its functioning.

The 5 Steps to Becoming a Member

Attend the membership class. This class is offered 3-4 times a year, immediately following the service. Lunch and childcare are provided if you sign up prior.

Fill out the membership info form. By sharing your background and story with us, we get to learn about you was you learn about our church.

Sign the membership covenant. This covenant is a two-way promise, that we commit to one another in order to grow spiritually and be held accountable. Every believing member of your family should sign the covenant.

Meet with an elder to review, to answer any questions you may have, and to help in finding a place to serve.

Be presented to the church body for affirmation on a Sunday morning.

We are excited about you looking into membership here at Normandale. If we can help you in any way during this membership process, we would love to. All elders and staff are here to answer any questions you may have.

Baptism is a prerequisite to becoming a member of Normandale. It is intended for only those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ. We baptize by immersion, which is a symbol of what happens spiritually when we become followers of Jesus—we die to our old life and are raised as a new person in Christ.
