We want Normandale to be one of the safest, funnest, and most engaging parts of your child’s week. We provide age-specific experiences that allow your kids to learn about God in a way that is perfect for their stage of life. Whether it’s taking care of your newborn in our nursery, leading your toddler in interactive lessons, or helping your elementary school student learn about God in a high-energy environment, we’re committed to kids and to making them a priority.
We have groups for all ages at 9:30am on Sundays, where they will learn God’s Word. Alongside a full nursery/preschool ministry during our 10:45am Sunday worship gathering, K-3rd graders are invited back to the children’s area for a kids sermon after they have sang with their families and return back before the end of the service. And on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, we have kids’ activities where they explore broader theological concepts. All are welcome!
Our mission is to partner with your family in raising your kids with a biblical worldview, enabling them to faithfully follow their Creator as fully participating members of His church. Faith Steps is our discipleship plan for doing just that. We have highlighted five key markers on a child's faith journey and use that to frame all of the activities and events we run.
We celebrate parents, guardians & families as they to point their children to Jesus, sharing their faith with their kids as the primary disciplers.
VBS is one of the biggest dates on our church calendar – it provides an amazing opportunity for our kids, and their families, to invite their neighbors and friends to hear the Good News about Jesus!
Over 130 volunteers pull together to make VBS a safe and fun environment for kids to be challenged in their faith while enjoying music, crafts, snacks, recreation, Bible study among other things.
Kid’s camp is an amazing week where our completed 3rd through 6th graders get the opportunity to pull away from distractions and focus on their relationship with Jesus.
With quiet times, small group discussions, large group teaching and worship – this week is always one of the most fun and most impactful each and every year.
A dedicated team of counselors lead out in discipling our kids and encouraging them to take the next step in their walk with Jesus.
We believe that children are just as important to the church as adults, and while we love providing programs during worship services for kids birth-3rd grade, several times a year we have all-age family worship.
One of those is our “Kids Takeover Sunday”, where kids lead us in service through greeting, handing out bulletins, praying, singing, passing the offering plates and more. Why? Because these kids can do it! If they have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior then they are filled with the same spirit you and I are!
Our oldest kids have the opportunity to attend events specifically for them, with the aim of encouraging them to continue taking ownership of their faith.
LADS AND DADS (boys) & GROW (girls)
We host two annual events – one for boys and their dads, and the other for girls and their moms. The aim is to have fun and make memories, while challenging the preteens and their parents to live faithfully to Christ. For many of our kids it is their favorite event of the year.
KIDS ON MISSION
In the Spring we offer a chance for specific 4th-6th graders to join us on a mission trip down to Groesbeck, TX. Kids who have made a profession of faith and been baptized, attend regularly, and demonstrate leadership qualities will join us as we serve the local community, have fun, and talk about sharing the gospel and your testimony.
Each year we have a Fort Worth mission trip – a week full of outreach opportunities in our own community. We gather as a church on the Sunday and instead of staying in our building, go out!
Activities continue all week ranging from giving cookies to firefighters, writing note cards to people, visiting families in our community, helping local churches and schools, a preschool mission experience, and so much more.
All of our activities are designed for our kids to get involved with too!
