What does a service look like?
What does a service look like?

Our service typically lasts around an hour and fifteen minutes, ending around noon. We begin the service with guided prayer, where you are given prayer prompts to pray for on your own. We’ll sing several songs about Jesus to prepare our hearts to hear from God’s Word (the Bible). Somewhere in there we will take up our tithes and offerings, which our members give to support the ministry of our church financially. A pastor will preach from the Bible for 30-40 minutes. And then we’ll have a time to respond to the message with a song or two.

What is the preaching like?
What is the preaching like?

We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us and is ultimately about Jesus. As such, our preaching is what we call Text-Driven. Our sermons will follow the style, structure, substance, and spirit of the text of scripture. So basically, the point of the scripture passage as it stands in the context of the whole story of the Bible and in relation to the gospel message of Jesus will be the point of the sermon.

We usually go through books of the Bible. Though sometimes we also will walk through biblical themes or smaller sections of books too.

Is there a place for my kids?
Is there a place for my kids?

Yes there is! We want your kids to love it here.

Birth through pre-K have their own activities designed especially for them throughout the entire service. K-3rd graders stay with us during the first part of the service in order to sing with us, then the pastor will release those who desire to go, back to their own kids service which will engage them at their level. They will return to the sanctuary during the songs after the sermon. Of course, all children are welcome to remain in the service if you choose. Check out more about our kids’ ministry here.
